Die Gr\u00fcnder unseres Unternehmens erkannten, dass unser K\u00f6rper \u00fcber ein nat\u00fcrliches System verf\u00fcgt, um \u00c4nderungen an unserer RNA vorzunehmen. Durch die Nutzung dieses Systems wollen wir sch\u00e4dliche genetische Varianten, die zu fehlenden oder fehlerhaften Proteinen und somit zu schweren Krankheiten wie Alpha-1-Antitrypsin-Defizienz (AATD) f\u00fchren, umkehren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:60px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized desktop-only\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/airna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/AIRNA-Genetic-correctionrestores-functional-protein-DE.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4657\" style=\"width:720px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized mobile-only\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/airna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/AIRNA-Genetic-correctionrestores-functional-protein-mobile-DE.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4656\" style=\"width:720px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--50)\">RNA besteht aus einer Sequenz molekularer Untereinheiten, die h\u00e4ufig mit Buchstaben in einem Code verglichen werden und die bestimmen, wie Proteine aufgebaut sind und funktionieren. Das nat\u00fcrliche RNA-Editingsystem des K\u00f6rpers nutzt ein spezialisiertes Protein namens ADAR, um pr\u00e4zise Ver\u00e4nderungen an der RNA vorzunehmen; dabei wird einer der Buchstaben ausgetauscht \u2013 ein Adenosin (A) wird auf einen neuen Buchstaben namens Inosin (I) umgestellt, der von der genetischen Maschinerie des K\u00f6rpers als Guanosin (G) gelesen wird. Wir entwickeln eine in der Erprobung befindliche Therapie, die ADAR anleiten soll, pr\u00e4zises Editing an der richtigen Stelle vorzunehmen. Diese kleinen \u00c4nderungen an der RNA k\u00f6nnen zu wichtigen Verbesserungen in der Funktionsweise von Proteinen f\u00fchren.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-top:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60);padding-bottom:var(--wp--preset--spacing--60)\">\n\t<div  style=\"padding-bottom:0\" class=\"section-heading pb-0 align-text-left align-content-top align wp-block-acf-section-heading\">\n\t\n\n\t\t<div class=\"acf-innerblocks-container\">\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-style-offset-left section-heading__heading is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\" style=\"padding-bottom:0\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading eyebrow-preheading\">Nutzung eines nat\u00fcrlichen humanen Prozesses f\u00fcr AATD<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-h-2-font-size\"><strong>AATD und pr\u00e4zises RNA-Editing<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-7387b849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Menschen mit AATD weisen spezifische Varianten in ihrer DNA und RNA auf, die letztendlich die Produktion des funktionellen Alpha-1-Antitrypsin (AAT)-Proteins verhindern. AATD wird vererbt und kann zu schweren Lungen- und Lebererkrankungen f\u00fchren, f\u00fcr die derzeit keine ausreichenden Behandlungsoptionen vorliegen. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full mobile-only\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/airna.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/AATD-can-lead-to-severe-lung-and-liver-diseases-DE.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-4417\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das pr\u00e4zise RNA-Editing von AIRNA hat das Potenzial, die am weitesten verbreitete AATD-verursachende genetische Variante (G-zu-A) auf RNA-Ebene nat\u00fcrlich zu reparieren, wobei die DNA unber\u00fchrt bleibt, jedoch sichergestellt wird, dass das resultierende Protein ordnungsgem\u00e4\u00df funktioniert. Dieser Ansatz vermeidet dauerhafte Risiken. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">AIR-001 wurde mit dem Ziel entwickelt, eine funktionelle Heilung zu erm\u00f6glichen, insbesonders mit einem Verabreichungsprofil, das sowohl von Patienten als auch von \u00c4rzten bevorzugt wird.
